JONSI of SIGUR ROS 'GO QUIET'

jonsi of Sigur Ros releases his newest venture 'go' on april 6th...jonsi co-produced the album & partners up with alex somers and peter katis (the national, interpol).

"the concept behind ‘go quiet’ was simple: it’s new year’s day in reykjavík, and jónsi awakens to a trashed house in the wake of his party. he avoids cleaning up and instead procrastinates by playing songs that reflect the night before, the bittersweetness of new year, and the melancholy of a year gone by"

EASILY, SHE WAS 300-325 POUNDS

Easily, she was 3-325 pounds and towered at barely 5-foot 2. Clearly, she rocked her 'Apple Bottom' jeans. She was loud and everyone in the store needed to know her business...her and her hands-free cell phone. Her weave needed reweaving, I could see a thatch of hair had become un-thatched. She was in line, in front of me at the Target store.

Like anyone who's ever gone shopping, I surfed her shopping cart. Nothing out of the ordinary, 16-cans of Pedigree Dog Food and a 10ML bottle of KY Intense. What?! Naturally I took a 'double take', re-swallowed my lunch from this afternoon. The picture splattered all over the interior of my skull of her applying the 'Arousal Gel' was far worse than walking in on my parents 'doing the dirty'..."massage 2-4 pumps to the clitoris during foreplay. Reapply as desired", according to KYs website....WTF.

ALEXANDER McQUEEN DEAD AT 40

The entire fashion world was sent reeling, to say the least, when they heard the news of Alexander McQueen's possible suicide on Feb 11th. Just one week after the death of his mum Joyce, to whom he was extremely close. Alexander had also posted numerous concerning Tweets to Twitter concerning his sadness since Joyce's recent passing. R.I.P Alexander.

EBAYer SELLS NINTENDO GAME FOR $13,105

Last week, eBay user lace_thongs35 put up for auction an 80s-era Nintendo Entertainment System & 5-games cartridges. Within an hour after the first bid, the price was over $6,000. By end of auction Wednesday, the final selling price...$13, 105. YES, 13-THOUSAND BUCKs!

I bet you're wondering why the hell this eBay auction hit 6-digits, right? Well, I can tell you that it wasn't for the NES console...that was run-of-the-mill NES product. Lace_Thongs35's auction had a mega-rare game cartridge called Stadium Events and game-geeks sport the perpetual-boner for this game. But the the game alone wasn't the biggest ticket, it was the cardboard box which sports a price tag of $10,000 all on its own. It's believed that fewer than 10-complete copies exist (cartridge & box).

Now, I ask you "Did you have this game when you were a kid?" "Did your mom Garage Sale it for 25¢ when she cleaned out your room that year you moved away to college?"

MTV DROPS THE MUSIC...WHATs NEW?

Is anyone out there even remotely surprised that MTV has finally got off of their big-fat corporate asses and decided to drop their infamous tagline Music Television? So it seems that the big cheeses over at MTV have finally come to the realization that since they don't really feature a whole lot of music on their television channels, they might as well update their logo. The new logo is short & squat and no longer has that 30-year old tagline Music Television beneath it. Whoppie. Get more info here.

27 aka TWENTY SEVEN X CAUGHT ON A FREIGHT TRAIN

In 2006 or 2007 I took a picture of piece by Twenty Seven in NYCs Lower east Side (see 3rd image). Today, while taking some video of a freight train zipping through Chicago's South-Side, I catch a couple of images of tags by none other than Twenty Seven himself. He's the absolute last person that I'd have expected to see scrawled on the side of a petroleum tanker. Thank you, Jesus!
