UNCOMMON iPHONE CASES X MQ + DAVID ELLIS
Uncommon offers a variety of iPhone cases, with a HUGE roster of graffiti artists in their stable and will also produce a custom case just for you...with your graphics...yes, your graphics. SICK! They have some fancy-schmancy 3D TATT robot thingee that rams the inks DEEP into your blank case. Check them out, they kill it!
MQ started painting graffiti in New York in the mid 80s. He is also known as MQUE or MQIZM. MQ has earned himself legendary status for his relentless painting. Around the world you can see his colossal throw-ups, gigantic block letters and subliminal tags. Today MQ’s works is geared towards making poster, paintings and metal stickers. His art works are multi layered; often combining stickers and reflective vinyl with abstract shapes and subliminal writing. His core palette of silver and black with elements of graffiti makes his works easily identifiable. His work is fresh, innovative and constantly evolving.
David Ellis is an artist born into a family immersed in music. In his youth Ellis had little patience with piano lessons or reading sheet music. Instead he absorbed everything on The Super Mix, a Saturday night radio program broadcast from the nearby Fort Bragg military base. Each week a new cassette tape of emerging New York hip-hop found its way into the life of a child growing up in a log house in North Carolina. By the time Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5 released The Message, Ellis was writing rhymes and banging out beats with his friends on the desks at school. Things have since become much louder.

SUBCONSCIOUS ART OF GRAFFITI REMOVAL by MATT McCORMICK
'From Tugboats To Polar Bears' (a collection of short films) is an Indie-Doc from 2002 by Portland filmmaker Matt McCormick, combining original sounds with abstract observations of contemporary culture.
"Towlines" explores the role of the tugboat in modern society; "American Nutria" examines the plight of a species imported to our shores and now reviled; "The Subconscious Art of Graffiti Removal" observes how destroying one art form creates another; "The Vyrotonin Decision" reflects on some of advertising's most embarrassing moments.
McCormick received the Golden Gate award in '02 for Best Short Film.

SPECIAL EDITION: DOC MARTENS RED PACK
Dr. Martens kicks up the volume with a seasonal red-black edition. They come with red welt stitching, red upper stitching, red laces and a red-black heel loop (on the boots, that is).
The red-black combo is available at the Portland, Seattle & London stores, plus select stockists around the globe.
There's a huge buzz on the streets, as in the past, black Doc's with red laces is said to have been worn by many fascist punks. Groups on the other side of the agenda-fence have vocalized concerns as to why the good Doc would a release red-black combo, in light of their past relationship in the political/ punk arena.
Here's a handy-dandy lace color chart...just in case you are wondering how to state your politics:
* White = White power/white pride, but also traditionalist/non-racist since it was so common
* Red = Neo-Nazi/National Front, but alternatively used to identify Left Wing or Socialist
* Blue = Killed a cop. Also worn by SHARPs/anti-racist
* Yellow = Worn by SHARPs/anti-racist
* Green = Neutral/non-racist
* Black = Traditionalist skin, punk kid, neutral, or wearing the laces the boots were sold with
* Black + White = Two Tone/into ska or racial unity
* Plaid = Non-racist/neutral

THE GHOST VILLAGE PROJECT X AGENTS OF CHANGE
The Ghostvillage Project was created over 3 days on the west coast of Scotland. 6 artists - Timid, Remi/Rough, System, Stormie Mills, Juice 126, Derm - were given free reign to paint in an abandoned 1970s village. Working together on huge collaborative walls and individually in hidden nooks and crannies all over the site the artists realised long held dreams and were inspired by the bleakness and remoteness of the site. Drawing on the history of the village the artists' stated intent on completion of the project was to populate the ghostvillage with the art and characters that it deserved.

OBJECTIFIED: INDUSTRIAL DESIGN DOCUMENTARY
"Objectified is a documentary by Gary Hustwit about industrial design; it’s about the manufactured objects we surround ourselves with, and the people who make them. On an average day, each of us uses hundreds of objects. (Don’t believe it? Start counting: alarm clock, light switch, faucet, shampoo bottle, toothbrush, razor…) Who makes all these things, and why do they look and feel the way they do? All of these objects are “designed,” but how can good design make them, and our lives, better?..."
