This is a limited edition, hand pulled screen print that I just completed. The original illustration is from a found image [Christmas record from the 60's] that featured wood-cut artwork on the cover.

All prints are hand pulled, screen printed original artworks....made by hand. I did not press the 'print' button ;)

Each print in this limited edition [of 25] is signed, numbered & dated on the front [below the image, in pencil].

Sonnenzimmer at the MCA

Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago presents Sonnenzimmer: Commercial Improvisation [July 26–31]
Exhibition poster launch & closing event [July 31, 2–4 pm]
Nick Butcher and Nadine Nakanishi of Sonnenzimmer are moving their Cincinnati-brand one-arm screen printing press into the gallery for the week. Operating as a satellite office and print shop, they will be designing and producing a screen-printed We Are Here exhibition poster. With a large selection of their posters and prints also on display, the space will act as both a survey of their past work and a window into their process and printing method. The poster will be launched on July 31 and available from the MCA Store.

Damien Tran

Although I'm not entirely sure, I'm thinking that Damien is either from or near Germany (based on the fact that most of his shows seem to be in German gallery spaces). Geographic location doesn't matter much, because Damien Tran's body or work is bangin'!

Eroné

Northern France is home of their 4th largest city, Lille. Lille is also the home-base for an extremely talented artist by the name of Eroné. Eroné's figures have an almost religious quality about them, with prayers and meditations seeming to be the primary thread running through them. He does a great deal of screen print on paper but, is no stranger to wood, whether carved or assembled.

Rob Mack aka Philistine WorkShop

Illustrator extraordinaire, Rob Mack aka Philistine Workshop has created a brand spankin' new print for Artcrank (an international poster party for bike people), titled Bike Wolf. I am totally diggin' on Rob Mack's aesthetic, which he produces in a variety of mediums, that hearken printwork of yesteryear.
