Levi's Commuter Cycling Series

Levi's introduced their Commuter Cycling Series, a clothing lined designed to meet the needs of metro-cyclists, bike messengers or dudes that wanna look like bike messengers. The Commuter Cycling Series is the slim-cut 511 model and includes such details as a utility waistband (the will gladly accommodate your Krypto U-Lock), a higher rear rise (so you're not flashing plumber's ass all day long) and 3m reflective detailing. The line is scheduled to hit stores Fall of 2011.

TRACKING THE LIFECYCLE OF HIPSTER FASHION

Dig Emily Miethner's colorful infograph of the 'Lifecycle of Hipster Fashion', but be forewarned, her 'circle of life' may hit too close to home for a few of you out there, you know who you are...plaid shirt, cut-off jean shorts, Keds Champion sneakers, a beard or handlebar mustache & a bikers cap.
I'll be fair, I'm not hatin' on Hipster fashion because it's just that, fashion, and when something or someone becomes in fashion or dresses in fashion, it's much easier for others with the same likes and desires to 'cluster' together...strength in numbers, one might say.

If you know me, then you know that I've got no love, zero, zip for the Kanye West. I think that he's a spoiled little baby. A megalomaniac, to the ump-teenth degree. I don't think that in any way, is he the 'best rapper alive'...much as he believes himself to be. And I sure as shit don't think that he's the accomplished fashion designer some of you Kanye-lovers out there in Kanye-land have convinced yourself he is.
So needless to say, it was very, very painful for me to visit his new website...in all its A-typical Kanye-hype and all. He's really pimpin' this to be the next-level 'fashion & art' blog. I however, was sure it'd also be yet another platform for him to promote himself. Sometimes the universe proves me wrong...like this morning. I went to his site and other than the one Kanye-poem, it is a website somewhat dedicated to art and fashion...of course, fashion that real people could never in their lifetime afford.
